Equal Burden Bill Passes First Reading

The equal burden bill, which will see hareidi-religious yeshiva students being drafted into the army, passed its first reading in the Knesset early on Tuesday morning.

64 Knesset members voted in favor of the bill and 21 voted against. In response to the passing of the bill, the hareidi MKs tore the lapels of their shirts.
