Shekel, Pound, Euro Up; Dollars Mixed; Yen, Rand Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .498 percent, Friday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.582, down .528 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .468 percent to 4.6976 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.4627 shekels, down .325 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .607 percent to NIS 3.5717. The Canadian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.452, down .139 percent, while its Australian counterpart lost .448 percent to 3.2868 shekels, and the South African rand was set at NIS .3616, down 1.175 percent.
