"Samaria is packed with historical sites," stated Benny Katzover, chairman of the Samaria Committee. He said Israeli tourists would recognize the important sites and fall in love with the region upon visiting. The committee is pushing tours of the district over summer vacation.
Katzover said that in addition to ancient heritage sites such as ancient olive groves and religious sites, Samaria also had fun activities for children. On Wednesday he singled out Neria and its natural springs as a must-see destination. "To instill the love of the land for future generations, one should first of all get to know the land," he added.
