Temple Mount Used As Soccer Field Despite Court Ruling

Several Jewish organizations are complaining about the impromptu soccer (football) games being played on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. On Wednesday a group of Jewish pilgrims to the site said they were appalled at witnessing the now common practice of youth playing soccer and other sports on the site of what once was the Holy Temple and "House of Prayer for All Nations " built by King Solomon.

Members of the Jewish entourage at the site took away the soccer ball and handed it over to a police officer, however the officer returned to ball to the youth and told the Jewish group that there was "no provision" for stopping soccer games or other activity. A Supreme Court order has forbidden sports on the holy site.
