Police Chief: Expect Nationalist Vandalism Arrests Soon

Police Commissioner Yochanan Danino said, Tuesday morning, that there were would be arrests soon in cases of vandalism against Arab and leftist targets, including the spray-painting of nationalist slogans in Hebrew. The vandalism has been called "price tag" after the most-frequently-sprayed words accompanying the acts, which started in response to acts or threats against Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (Shomron).

Addressing the launching of the Knesset Lobby for Police Officers, Jailers and Firefighters, Danino said the police placed a high priority on solving these cases. He noted, "When we ask judges to imprison [someone] for spray painting, they ask us - Are you serious? Why detention? This is not about spray-painting. It's about a deed that could ignite all the state of Israel and even beyond."
