Obama Considering US Interests in Syria Decision

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, Thursday afternoon, that President Barack Obama and his staff, "have to make the decisions they believe are in the best interests of the United States," when it comes to deciding how to address the Syrian civil war, which has taken 93 million lives, according to the Hill.

Responding to comments by former president Bill Clinton that Obama should be more forceful in support of Syrian rebels, Carney said, "Obviously, a lot of people who have expertise in the matter, both outside of Congress, in Congress, and inside government have perspective to add and opinions to contribute. The president welcomes all that."
