Doctor Shimshon Shoshani submitted his resignation as vice chairman of the Council for Higher Education on Tuesday.
The former director-general of the Education Ministry took the position a year ago, at the request of then minister of education Gid'on Sa'ar, to help plan and carry out reforms in the system.
