The European Union is irrelevant when it comes to dealing with the Middle East because of its failure to blacklist Hizbullah as a terrorist organization, MK Avigdor Lieberman (Likud-Yisrael Beytenu) said on Monday.
Lieberman made the comments during a meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, which he chairs, and added that if the EU fails to reach a decision on this issue, Israel should stop any dialogue with it and “come to the conclusion that we can only rely on ourselves and not on the guarantees of others.”
