Poll: Labor, Habayit Hayehudi Up; Likud Beyteinu Down

If the various controversies were to bring about the predictions of the critics and explode the coalition, bringing on new elections, Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) would gain a Knesset seat for a total of 13, according to a just-released survey by the Knesset television channel. Labor would jump from its 15 to 21 if elections were held today and Meretz would pick up two seats for a total of eight. Likud Beyteinu would remain the largest bloc despite falling from 31 to 26, while the Yesh Atid party would fall from its current strength of 19 to 17. The hareidi-religious Shas and United Torah Judaism factions would each lose a mandate, while Hatenu'ah would go from six seats to four.
