Arrested for Asking if OK to Shoot Women of the Wall

A 17-year-old yeshiva student from Jerusalem was detained for questioning, Thursday afternoon, while on an annual trip with his classmates in the Beit Shemesh area, west of the capital, after he asked a rabbi on the Kippah (skull cap, yarmulke) Website if it was permitted to shoot members of the Women of the Wall group, who plan to observe Rosh Hodesh (the new moon), Sunday at the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem. His question cited the members of the group for wearing talit (prayer shawl) while not being modestly dressed.

The rabbi responded that it was forbidden to shoot them under halakha (Jewish law) and proposed that he act through dialogue and not through violence. The boy said he did not intend to harm the non-orthodox women.
