Police to Escort Women of the Wall Bus

"Women of the Wall", who want to pray with all the trappings of their male counterparts, are preparing for Sunday morning's Rosh Hodesh (new moon) observance at the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem. Despite an arrangement worked out with Western Wall authorities last month, the service was disrupted by a number of hareidi-religious Jews, some of whom were detained by police.

Police had to escort them away from the Western Wall Plaza in a bus. The organization's Facebook page has published a post that the police requested that members of the group do not try to go to the Western Wall Plaza independently but via a bus that will be escorted by a patrol car.
