Critically Wounded in Bank Massacre Regains Conscious

Omar Walidi, who was critically wounded during a May 20th shooting in a Be'er Sheva bank branch in which four people died, has regained consciousness and blames police for his wounds, according to a Thursday-evening report by Channel 2 Television.

During his re-creation of the events, Walidi said he went under a desk and pretended to be dead when the shooter entered the bank. He said that when he heard the shooter locked himself up in a bathroom with a hostage, he got up and headed for the door where police were coming in and was wounded by one of the officers. He said he was handcuffed when taken to the hospital in critical condition.
