Shekel, Pound Up; Euro Outpaces Dollars, Yen

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .207 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.682, down .325 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro slipped .017 percent to 4.7805 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.58, up .162 percent, while 100 Japanese yen declined .606 percent to 3.627 shekels. The Canadian dollar was fixed at 3.5566 shekels, down .11 percent, while its Australian counterpart fell .399 percent to NIS 3.547, and the South African rand was set at .3715 shekels, down 1.642 percent.
