Daylight Savings Time until after Yom Kippur

The Interior Ministry has decided to extend Daylight Savings Time until the end of October. Previously, DST would end before Yom Kippur, and the fast would end at around 18:00. Deputy Religious Affairs Minister Rabbi Eli Ben Dahan explains, "Yom Kippur lasts the same 25 hours every year, it makes no difference."

Yom Kippur will begin an hour later than in the past, and to accommodate conclusion prayers until around 19:00, many congregations will begin morning services an hour later than previously.
