Netanyahu Meets Candidates to Lead Bank of Israel

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met, Sunday, with two prominent candidates to succeed Stanley Fischer as governor of the Bank of Israel when Professor Fischer steps down at the end of June. The two candidates are Deputy Governor Karnit Flug and Professor Manuel Trajtenberg, who headed a government inquiry on socio-economic reform.

Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yair Lapid are scheduled to make a decision on the appointment soon.
