Ministers Ban Tobacco Ads in Newspapers and Internet

The Ministerial Committee on Legislation endorsed, Sunday, amendments to the laws on limiting advertising and marketing tobacco products, which will ban advertising them on the internet and in newspapers.

Only a few exceptions will remain, such as in-store advertisements. The warning about the effects of tobacco will be enlarged to 30 percent of the advertisement and include pictures in addition to text.
