Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz related to the threat of Port Authority employees to strike in wake of the government's intention to apply Authority reforms, "We will not allow the suspension of Israel's port commerce no matter what. If they carry out their threat, we will legislate a law preventing port employees from being able to launch a strike before arbitration, and they will in effect never be able to strike again."
