Obama, Erdoğan Talked about Normalizing with Israel

President Barack Obama of the United States said, Thursday, that he talked to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey about normalizing relations with Israel as a way to advance the two-state solution in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Speaking at a joint news conference, Obama also said that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad must leave office.

Erdoğan said that he will visit Gaza next month. He said he intends to visit Judea and Samaria too, explaining that he hoped his visit will contribute to Middle East peace.
