Educator: Ministers, Not Hilltop Youth, Need Education

Shaul Halfon, one of those who teaches the youth living in the Jewish hilltop communities of Judea and Samaria (Shomron), rejected, Thursday, an Education Ministry initiative to rehabilitate the hilltop youth and make them love the state. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, he said the hilltop youth are the last ones to need this education, adding, "Our leaders should educate themselves, first of all, in the spirit of the Torah of Israel, the people of Israel and the land of Israel. Meanwhile, they're doing exactly the opposite. They are upholding an army that fights us and expels Jews, and we are still looking for real Jewish leadership which walks in the way of Israel."

Halfon claimed that a state that does not know how to act like a sovereign cannot preach principles. He asked, "Is this our leadership, giving the Arabs everything? The hilltop youth are an examples to youth who feel this is their country."
