The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended a trading week abbreviated by the Shavuot holiday, Thursday, with moderate gains in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,092.08, up 1.15 percent from Monday's close, while the TA 100 rose 1.12 percent to 1,089.06, including a hike of .92 percent to 1,215.76. Also rising 1.15 percent were the stocks outside the TA 100 for a posting of 981.69.
Leading the gainers was most of the technology index, which jumped 2.47 percent to 313.26, while the biomed issues stood at 851.99, up 1.52 percent. The insurance stocks climbed 1.32 percent to 1,344.49, as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,111.28, up a tenth of a percent, including a .63-percent decline to 1,151.41 by the bank index. The oil and natural-gas issues advanced 1.22 percent to 1.171.80, while the real-estate stocks slipped .07 percent to 341.67 and the communications index stood at 541.44, down 1.35 percent.
