Finance Minister Yair Lapid told Israel Army Radio, "The middle class may end up temporarily with about 290 NIS less each month, but these austerity measures are our insurance policy against economic collapse, so we won't end up like Greece."
Lapid also told Reshet Bet radio earlier, "Responsible leadership makes good decisions, even at the expense of temporary lack of popularity."
