MK Asks Comptroller to Probe PM Residence Expenses

Member of Knesset Eitan Cabel (Labor) asked State Comptroller Yoseph Shapiro, Tuesday morning, to investigate the sharp increase in expenses at the Prime Minister's Residence in the last four years.

Cabel wrote, "At this time, when harsh economic decrees are being imposed on the public in Israel, it is a particularly striking fact that the Prime Minister's Residence is being run as if it's in a parallel universe, totally divorced from reality." He said the prime minister should "set a personal example and reduce spending financed by taxpayers."
