The Finance Ministry announced, Sunday, "There's no truth to the report that municipal property tax will be charged on graves."
The statement also said, "In the budget proposal for 2013-2014, the Treasury proposes to return the situation to where it was and prevent the loss of revenue from local authorities. The tariffs for those who wish to acquire a burial plot while alive are set by law and cannot be changed, except by the Knesset."
