Biden: US Cautious on Reaction to Syrian Chemicals

Vice President Joe Biden of the United States said, Thursday, that the U.S. is acting cautiously on how to react to reports on the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian civil war.

Interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine, Biden cited mistakes made by the previous administration during the war in Iraq for the cautiousness. He added that if it becomes clear that the regime of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad has used chemical weapons, President Barack Obama will order a proportional response, but did not elaborate.
