Prison, Fines for Waived Security Checks on PA Goods

The Lod District Court sentenced two security inspectors and a resident of the western Samarian (Shomron) city of Ariel to sentences ranging from two years to 54 months in prison, Thursday, in a case of bribery for not subjecting merchandise from the Palestinian Authority to a security check.

According to the indictment, the three collaborated at the Trans-Samaria Checkpoint (Ma'avar Beyn Chotzei Shomron) next to Oranit, on the 1949 Cease-fire Line, east of Tel Aviv, on the Trans-Samarian Highway (Route 5).
