Back in 1967, Ammunition Hill saw one of the fiercest battles of the Six Day War. The site overlooks was once was the Jordanian occupied side of the street. But on Wednesday the Defense Minister came to the site not for war but for a special ceremony marking 46 years since the reunification of the city. Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon stated "in any future scenario, this city will remain the united, eternal capital of Israel. Generations will see our example... after two thousand years of praying 'next year in Jerusalem' our duty is to continue to develop the city's industry, education, science, culture, housing and a wide range of areas. We are rebuilding Jerusalem physically and spiritually."
