The popular British musical act Depeche Mode performed in Tel Aviv on Tuesday. It was the first concert of their new tour. Thousands of people attended. The band previously performed in Israel in 2009 to a reported crowd of 50,000 people. The group has earned top ten slots on the United Kingdom music charts for 13 of their albums, two of which debuted in the number 1 slot. They have been considered a critical and commercial success since the 1990s. Their latest album was released in March of 2013. Depeche Mode is the latest is a slew of high profile musical acts to have toured Israel and to have made Israel their first stop on a world tour.
