Saudis Call on UN to Stop Israeli Attacks on Syria

Saudi Arabia called on the United Nations, Monday evening, to act to stop Israeli attacks on Syria, according to the Saudi SPA news agency. The Saudi cabinet "expressed deep concern about the deteriorating situation in Syria" and called on the Security Council "to act quickly to stop the Israeli attacks on Syrian soil and make sure they are not repeated."

Israel has not officially confirmed international media reports that its planes bombed targets in the Damascus area between Thursday and Saturday evening. A military research institute, believed to be Syria's main chemical weapons facility, was hit, and at least 15 soldiers were reported killed.
