Train Israelis, Import Chinese to Build Needed Housing

Former National Union party chairman Ya'akov Katz called, Sunday, for the government to put the construction of 100,000 dwelling units in the budgets of the next two-to-three years as a way of lowering housing costs. He said the government should import 30,000-40,000 Chinese to lower the price the contractors are charging today for the workers they have to fight over. At the same time, he said, the government should engage in the mass training of construction workers through hundreds of courses around the country.
