Hague Defends Israel's Right to Self Defense

British Foreign Minister William Hague defended, Sunday, Israel's right to defend itself. Interviewed by Britain's Sky News following reports that an Israeli air strike led to an explosion at a Damascus area military research facility, Hague said, "Israel has made very clear that it will act if it believes that important weapons systems are being transferred to Hezbollah. Israel will act to protect its national security, we do have to respect that."

Hague said he would wait for official confirmation of Israel being behind the attack before making a detailed reaction.
