Arab Police Detectives Chased Out of Jerusalem Yeshiva

Two Arabic-speaking police officers were chased out of the area of the Merkaz Harav yeshiva in Jerusalem on Tuesday. According to reports from Arutz Sheva's Hebrew language news service, students overheard the two police detectives speaking to each other in Arabic. Five students approached them and questioned them. Then one student went inside and came back out with a canister of pepper spray and sprayed one of the detectives. That student was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer. The officer in question was treated at a hospital for pepper spray inhalation. It is not being reported whether or not the Arab police detectives were in uniform. According to Israeli radio, they were at the campus "on an operational activity".

In March of 2008, eight yeshiva students were shot in cold blood and killed at the Merkaz Harav yeshiva by an Arab Israeli who was allowed to enter the yeshiva campus with a delivery because he had worked there previously.
