Border Police: Jammed Pistol Prevented Worse Attack

A spokesman for the Border Police identified the terrorist being held for the fatal Tuesday morning attack at the Tapuach Junction as a resident of the Samarian (Shomron) Palestinian Authority city of Tulkarm. He said the attack occured around 8:00 o'clock, when the terrorist attacked his Jewish victim with a knife and took the victim's handgun, which jammed after the terrorist fired one shot at neaby Border Guards.

A Border Guard on lookout returned the fire and was joined a moment later by the Tapuach checkpoint's commander in firing while rushing the terrorist. The terrorist was taken to hospital with serious wounds.
