The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,078.44, down .64 percent, while the TA 100 declined seven tenths of a percent to 1,078.55, including a .82-percent drop to 1,205.09 by the TA 25 most-widely invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 advanced .19 percent to 922.64.
Leading the gainers was the communications index, which rose .59 percent to 559.82, followed by the real-estate issues, which stood at 331.73, up .21 percent. The bank stocks gained .15 percent to 1,126.11 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,085.97, down .45 percent, including a 1.12-percent fall to 1,298.83 by the insurance index. The biomed issues lost two-tenths of a percent to 844.64, while the rest of the technology stocks stood at 308.47, down .93 percent. The oil and natural-gas index declined .47 percent to 1,113.97.
