Shekel Up; Pound Outpaces Euro, Yen, Dollars Mixed

The official value of the shekels rose an average of .039 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.606, down .359 percent, while the Euro rose .136 percent to 4.7144 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5764, up .923 percent, while 100 Japanese yen edged up .041 percent to 3.6366 shekels. The  Australian dollar stood at NIS 3.723, up .137 percent, while its Canadian counterpart slipped .06 percent to 3.5623 shekels, and the South African rand climbed .634 percent to NIS .3969.
