Hevron Residents Speak Out Regarding Latest Eviction

The residents of the Beit Ezra apartment building in Hevron are to be evicted on Tuesday. Long-time Hevron resident and community activist Baruch Marzel spoke regarding what is the latest in a series of legal proceedings limiting the Jewish community to certain property.

Marzel decried the eviction, but hailed the advent of the new government which included his neighbor Member of Knesset Ort Struck.

"this time around we share Moshe Ya'alon [Defense Minister], Naftali Bennett [Economics ad Trade Minister], Uri Ariel [Housing Minister] and Orit Struck. Something old and something new is happening," Marzel stated. He hypothesized that the eviction and the response from past Hevron supporters in eth government may be connected to "selling everything for job positions and budgets." During the past four years Mazrel was the personal aide to now former Member of Knesset Dr. Michael Ben-Ari.
