Seven members of the staff of the Hadarim Prison, near Netanya, face disciplinary hearings, following the escape of prisoner Michale Yaroslavsky, about a month ago from the Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. An investigative committee of the Israel Prisons Service (IPS) also recommended tightening procedures for guarding and supervising prisoners in public places.
Decker Eilat will be removed from his position as warden of the prison and given another assignment in the IPS. The future of the two guards assigned to Yaroslavsky hangs in the balance. Also facing disciplinary hearings are four officers of various ranks from the prison.
