Ministers Endorse Move Against Infiltrators

The Ministerial Committee on Legislation unanimously approved, Sunday, a proposal by Interior Minister Gid'on Sa'ar to complete temporary legislation that prohibits illegal infiltrators from sending money or property abroad while they're in Israel. The proposal is intended to compete with the economic incentive for infiltration.

Sa'ar said, "The ongoing transfer of funds abroad by illegal infiltrators is the economic incentive for the phenomenon of infiltration. The law will prevent the transfer of large sums of money abroad and [will allow] law enforcement personnel to act."
