Shekel, Yen Down; Pound Outpaces Euro, Dollars

The official value of the shekel declined .255 percent, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.629, up .166 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .184 percent to 4.7424 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5766, up .784 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .552 percent to 3.659 shekels. The Australian dollar advanced .288 percent to 3.7559 shekels, while its Canadian counterpart was set at NIS 3.5442, up .124 percent, and the South African rand rose .126 percent to .3964 shekels.
