Yisrael Katz: Confident in Airlines' Ability to Succeed

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said, Friday morning, that the 'open skies' deregulation of flights to destinations in the European Union, scheduled to be signed on Sunday, "will make the flights more affordable for everyone and make it possible to make the prices of flight between Israel and Europe cheaper."

According to Katz, this agreement entails important benefits to Israeli aviation. Speaking against the backdrop of strikes by Israeli aviation workers opposed to the agreement, he added, "I am confident in the ability of the managers of Israeli airlines to lead their companies to prosperity and success in the reality of a competitive environment, which will benefit the entire economy."
