An Israeli personality will be speaking tonight (Wednesday) in Boston, Massachusetts on Israel and aliyah. The program takes on added interest due to yesterday's terrorist bombing attack at the Boston marathon. Yishai Fleisher, the former program director at Arutz Sheva - Israel National Radio will speak on "A Deep Look Into Israel's Soul: Politics & Changing Culture." The talk is part of Fleisher's ongoing series of lectures in the United States on aliyah and pro-Israel activism in which he promotes a positive outlook on the future of Zionism.
The event is in honor of Yom Haatzmaut, Israeli Independence Day. It is being organized by a group called BRI - Boston Russian Jews. Born in Israel, Fleisher is the son of Russian refuseniks and served in the IDf paratroopers unit. He currently lectures in Jerusalem.
The event will take place Wednesday, April 17th at 7:30pm at the Center Makor in Boston. The event is free of charge.
