Judge Proposes Holyland Plea Bargain for Lupolianski

Judge David Rosen of the Tel Aviv District Court suggested, Thursday, that prosecutors and defense attorneys reach a plea-bargain agreement regarding former Jerusalem mayor Uri Lupolianski's involvement in the Holyland real-estate scandal. Lupolianski is one of more than a dozen defendants in the case, which revolves around the approval of the Holyland real-estate development after it appeared headed for rejection.

A few months ago, Judge Rosen said he could not understand why Lupolianski's trial was continuing, explaining that there was no factual disagreement and only legal interpretations regarding contributions to the Yad Sarah charitable organization founded by Lupolianski.
