Honenu: Reservist Arrested for Threatening Arab Youths

The Honenu legal-aid organization reported, Thursday evening, that an off-duty reserves soldier was arrested in Jerusalem on suspicion of threatening Arab youths who tore flags off cars on the grounds of the tomb of Samuel the Prophet, northwest of the capital.

Honenu attorney Adi Keidar was in touch with the soldier, who chased one of a number of Arab boys and girls whom he saw taking the flags in an effort to make the boy return the flag he had taken. A guard at the place called police, claiming that the soldier had made the threats with his weapon, a claim denied by the soldier during interrogation at the Neve Ya'akov police station.
