10 Terrorist Fatalities in the Past Year

Ten people have been murdered in terrorist activity in Israel since last Independence Day, according to figures released, Thursday, by the Bituach Leumi National Insurance Institute, which takes care of benefits to the survivors and those who are wounded in attacks, and deals in memorializing the fatalities.

The statistics, publicized ahead of Monday's Memorial Day observances, show that 2,493 people have been killed by domestic terrorism since the end of the War of Independence in 1950. Since the start of the Second (Oslo) Intifada Arab uprising of 2000, 974 people have been murdered. The lives and deaths of the 4,093 residents and citizens murdered since the first modern wave of immigration are portrayed on Bituach Leumi's Hebrew website: http://laad.btl.gov.il/Web/He/Default.aspx
