Shekel, US Dollar, Yen Down; Pound Outpaces Euro

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .303 percent, Thursday, in mixed trading against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-currency list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.623, down .275 percent, while the Euro declined .071 percent to 4.755 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5763, up .28 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .304 percent to NIS E.6384. The Canadian dollar rose .366 percent to NIS 3.5924, while its Australian counterpart was fixed at 3.8306 shekels, up .207 percent, and the South African rand advanced .467 percent to NIS .4085.
