Inquisition Victims May Gain Portuguese Citizenship

Jewish descendants of the Portuguese Inquisition may be able to obtain citizenship centuries after being expelled. On Thursday the Portuguese Parliament will vote on a motion intended to make amends for what is now seen as an historical injustice. Spain may follow suit and retroactively reinstate Jewish citizens expelled for forcibly converted during Spanish Inquisition as well.
