Foreign Bands & Singers Rock Out in Israel

Many foreign musical acts have been performing in Israel, in contrast to the years of 2000-2002 when bands cancelled tours due to security concerns. On April 4th the band Turisas from Finland performed in Tel Aviv. On May 1st Dave Lombardo of the American group Slayer will teach a special drum clinic. On May 30th, Enslaved from Norway will perform. Last month on March 16th Pain of Salvation from Sweden returned for the second time within a year. American group Anthrax will arrive in August.

Rock groups are not the only ones scheduled for Israel. American singer Barbra Streisand will play in Jerusalem in June. The Afro-Cuban All Stars from Cuba will play on April 27th. Other big name acts to perform in the coming months are England's Depeche Mode on May 7th, and America's Alicia Keys in July.

In the past year big name acts such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna and others have performed. Classical and jazz musicians from around the world have made Israel a must-stop location on their tours as well.
