Officers of the Natzrat Ilit (Upper Nazareth) police station and the Holocaust Survivors' Welfare Fund recently organized a meeting with residents of the senior daycare center in Har Yonah, during which the seniors underwent a special workshop on self defense. Commander Erez Rosen said the activity is necessary in order to build a feeling of security among those who went through difficult incidents during the Holocaust, "even more so in light of the recent violent events in Israel".
Rosalia Sendel, a 91-year-old survivor of Auschwitz, said the activity was good and made her feel more secure, although she needed more practice. Station commander Ami Muallem said, "The embrace of these dear people is not over. We will continue to embrace them throughout the year."
