10 AM Siren to Start Holocaust Remembrance Observances

A two-minute siren is scheduled to be sounded at 10:00 Monday morning to mark the start of observances for Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Day. Following the sounding of the siren, the observances at schools and military bases are scheduled to begin.

An hour later, the Knesset is scheduled to start its "Everyone has a name" (L'chol Ish Yesh Shem in Hebrew) reading of names of those killed during the Holocaust. At 1:00 p.m., the central memorial observance in the Yizkor tent at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial institution in Jerusalem is scheduled to begin.
