As threatened, government Internet sites came under the distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on Sunday. A Finance Ministry spokesman said the Treasury's site returned to normal after being down for a number of seconds. The spokesman added, "A monitoring unit of the government is available and the national staff is working to repel cyber attacks and take proactive actions, such as routing communication and handling denial of service attacks in coordination with the Internet Service Providers."
