Kerry: Important for Israel and Turkey to Tighten Ties

Secretary of State John Kerry of the United States called on Israel and Turkey, Sunday, to restore their relations to the way they were more than four years ago, saying it was important for stability in the Middle East and essential for putting the peace process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority back on track. Speaking at a joint news conference with Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoğlu, Kerry said the two countries will complete the compensation scheme in the Mavi Marmara incident and return amassadors to each other but it was not the United States' job to set a timetable on the process.
